I was recently re-watching the HBO miniseries "The Pacific". Even though the show is about Marines during WWII, fighting in various locations, I saw some things in their stories that were relate-able and got me thinking. It can be frustrating at times to attempt comprehending the fortune we've had, while others close to us have been dealt grave misfortunes. It can also be a real struggle to understand what our purpose is, if we begin to wonder. Some of us have outlived our initial plan, beyond when we thought we would, now leaving us is a limbo of sorts, peppered with uncertainty and wonder. There are days full of sadness, bewilderment, despair, depression, confusion, and anger.
Then there are days that remind us of how beautiful this world can be; with joy, happiness, love, and hope.
Do not let each day, hour or moment effect your next moment, hour or day. You are allowed to feel however you feel, but do not dwell there. You can have all the support, love, and people willing to help, but none of it matters if you refuse to reach back out.
Like Sidney Phillips says in the video clip, "You just gotta pull yourself outta bed in the morning, and get on with the day. You do that enough times in a row, and your forget some things." You have to make that choice, you have to make it everyday. Find something in this world to be better for.
